The model applies duty to merchandise value, treats returns as reduced proceeds, and assumes all usable units share one cost. It excludes VAT recovery, tariffs on freight, demurrage, exchange rates, chargebacks, refurbishing, multi-SKU allocations, and salvage from defects.
