DETAILED CALCULATION PROCESS

Ten auditable steps

  1. Formula: P=s(c/100)+z(r/100).
  2. Explain: each score is multiplied by its declared course share.
  3. s,z are percentages; c,r are percentage weights; P,L are percentage points.
  4. Defaults: s=78,c=40,r=60,z=88.
  5. Convert 40% and 60% to 0.40 and 0.60.
  6. Current contribution=78×0.40=31.20.
  7. Scenario contribution=88×0.60=52.80.
  8. Projected score=31.20+52.80=84.00.
  9. Lift=84.00−78.00=6.00 points.
  10. Reverse check: 31.20+52.80=84.00 and c+r=100.

RESULT INTERPRETATION

A scenario is a conditional result

Higher scenario performance raises the projected score in proportion to remaining weight. A low scenario may still be useful because it exposes whether the target depends on an unrealistic jump.

Use scenarios to choose support

Large remaining weight

A modest future improvement can move the total when 60% remains, so tutoring effort may have measurable course impact.

Small remaining weight

When only 10% remains, even a perfect scenario has a limited effect; changing the study plan may not change the final band.
