How the calculation works

Calculate each entered usage tier independently, add the fixed charge and entered taxes, and divide the final bill by total metered usage for an all-in effective rate. Multiply usage in each tier by its own rate, add the three usage charges and fixed fee, apply the entered surcharge percentage once, then divide the final bill by total metered usage.
