Plan construction

Progress the purpose of training, not just the total

  1. Count only minutes intentionally assigned to the selected easy and hard zones.
  2. Use a plan length long enough to make both goals plausible.
  3. Keep hard-zone growth conservative when it is new or poorly tolerated.
  4. Schedule recovery weeks around real life, races, and other demanding training.
  5. Adjust future weeks from observed tolerance rather than forcing the original curve.

Two-rail progression

Easy volume and hard intensity create different recovery costs

Adding ten easy minutes is not equivalent to adding ten hard minutes. Separate rails keep a modest-looking total increase from concealing a large change in intensity exposure.

Recovery weeks are displayed as intentional reductions, not failures. The next week resumes from the underlying base so the plan does not compound the reduction.

Easy and hard minutes are progressed independently. A normal week cannot exceed the entered ramp cap; designated recovery weeks reduce the underlying progression without permanently lowering the next base week.

Their recovery costs differ, and one category can otherwise grow too quickly inside an acceptable total.

Does a recovery week erase progress?

No. It temporarily reduces exposure while the underlying progression level is retained.

Must I reach both goals in the last week?

No. The feasibility result reports when the ramp cap prevents the requested endpoint.

Should every week increase?
