    • The model applies one data rate to all streamed hours and does not distinguish downloads, devices, resolutions, or codecs.
    • Only marginal data overage is added; the base broadband bill is excluded.

    Should I count autoplay in streamed hours?

    Yes when data was delivered, but classify completion under your frozen intentional-viewing rule so passive playback does not disappear.

    Where should GB per hour come from?

    Prefer measured router or device data for the same resolution and service; provider estimates are a fallback and should be dated.

    Why exclude the base broadband bill?

    The model estimates marginal streaming cost. Allocating a shared fixed internet bill requires a separate, documented cost-allocation method.

    Does a lower cost per hour mean I should watch more?

    No. Increasing screen time mechanically lowers the ratio but may conflict with wellbeing, sleep, work, or household goals.

    What if completed hours are zero?

    The denominator is invalid, so the page rejects zero completed viewing instead of showing a plausible ratio.

    Can this compare two services?

    Run each service with matched observation periods and allocation rules, then compare alongside catalog usefulness and noncost requirements.
