    Should I enter invited guests or accepted guests?

    Use the population tied to the purchasing decision, normally the accepted or guaranteed count. Preserve a separate uncertainty reserve rather than silently mixing invited and confirmed guests.

    Why is cake coverage separate from meal coverage?

    Guests may skip dessert, leave early, or choose another dessert. A separate rate lets the cake order reflect the actual service design.

    Does the beverage count recommend alcohol consumption?

    No. It is a service-unit estimate only. Venue rules, licensing, age verification, responsible service, and transportation planning govern alcohol decisions.

    Why round up only at the end?

    Rounding each intermediate inflates demand. The model keeps fractional expected quantities, applies the reserve, and then rounds the final purchasable count upward.

    Can one reserve cover every item?

    Only if the uncertainties are comparable. When RSVP, dessert, or beverage uncertainty differs, run separate cases or apply item-specific vendor guidance.

    How do I convert servings into vendor packages?

    Divide each reserved quantity by the documented package yield and round packages upward. Do not assume tray, bottle, or cake-tier yields without the vendor specification.
