    Questions about periodic milestones

    Why is the booster not averaged across months?

    Averaging would pretend cash was available before its actual arrival. The model preserves receipt timing so milestone dates remain auditable.

    Can the booster amount be zero?

    Yes. A zero-booster run is the conservative baseline and shows whether recurring contributions alone can support the target sequence.

    Why must milestone thresholds increase?

    The page models a chronological funding ladder. Equal or descending thresholds would not represent distinct later funding states.

    Can a threshold already below current savings be entered?

    This model expects future thresholds above the current balance. Record already achieved milestones separately so future crossing months remain meaningful.

    Does the target month include account interest?

    No. It uses entered cash flows only, avoiding reliance on a rate that may vary or be unavailable over the planning horizon.

    Can contributors deposit different monthly amounts?

    Yes. Enter their actual planned recurring contributions separately so responsibility and total baseline pace remain visible.

    What if a promised bonus is uncertain?

    Exclude it from the base case and run it as an upside scenario. Required milestones should not depend on cash the contributors cannot control.

    How are skipped months represented?

    Reduce the contribution for the affected period in a dated schedule. A constant monthly model cannot faithfully represent irregular pauses without scenario adjustment.

    Can two milestones occur in the same month?

    Yes. A large scheduled deposit can cross multiple thresholds at once; that does not mean the underlying decisions must be made simultaneously.

    When should a cash-flow calendar replace this calculator?

    Use one when deposits vary by month, withdrawals occur, deadlines differ by milestone, or payment dates inside a month affect actual availability.
