Split target time and distance into two explicitly sized segments, then compare first and adjusted second-segment pace with each other and with the entered even-pace reference. First-segment distance equals total distance × entered distance share, and first-segment time equals target time × entered time share. Remaining distance and time form the second segment; the course adjustment changes second-segment time before both paces, adjusted total, and each pace gap from the entered even-pace reference are calculated.
