The page calculates the contribution already secured and solves the remaining score needed to reach the target. It then checks that required score against the maximum remaining score; an impossible target is labelled rather than converted into a misleading study percentage.

A target such as “an A” needs the published percentage threshold, including any rounding rule. Entering 90 when the course uses 93 changes the question materially.

  2. Secured contribution = 84 × 0.65 = 54.60 points.
  3. Required remaining score = (88 − 54.60) ÷ 0.35 = 95.43%.
  4. Maximum final = 54.60 + 100 × 0.35 = 89.60%, so the target is feasible but demanding.
  5. Reverse check: 54.60 + 95.43×0.35 ≈ 88.00.

A required score below the maximum is feasible under the declared assumptions. A required score above the maximum means the target is out of reach in this record. A negative requirement means the target is already secured mathematically.
