How to use

Build a capacity-readiness score from a declared rubric

  1. Define what each of the four dimensions means before entering scores.
  2. Score space, staffing, schedule access, and inclusion on the same 0–100 scale.
  3. Assign weights that reflect the decision and confirm their total is 100%.
  4. Inspect the contribution of each dimension, not only the total.
  5. Use the strongest and weakest contributors to set the next evidence or improvement action.

Multiply each score by its share, then add contributions

The model is a weighted arithmetic mean on a 0–100 scale. It validates the weights before calculating and preserves contribution values so a high score cannot hide a heavily weighted weak dimension.

Priority design

Weights encode priorities, not objective truth

A district may weight inclusion more heavily than a short-term room-fit review. The score is defensible only when the weight rationale is dated and approved.

Sensitivity

Small score changes matter most in high-weight dimensions

Test the largest contribution first when a result changes unexpectedly. The same one-point score change has different composite effects under 10% and 40% weights.

  4. The largest contribution is Space fit at 24.60 points; the smallest is Staffing fit at 17.00.
  5. Reverse check: contributions sum to 77.70 and weights sum to 100%.

Review both score and contribution structure

A 77.70 score is the weighted result under the entered rubric. The strongest contribution is not necessarily the weakest performance; it can simply carry the largest weight.

If the score is below the team’s threshold, identify whether a low score or a low weight is the limiting driver before changing the rubric.
