How to use
Weighted-score fundamentals
Calculation method
Each earned value is divided by its matching possible value. That normalized percentage is multiplied by the declared section weight. Contributions sum to the weighted exam score. The raw-points percentage is calculated separately as total earned divided by total possible.
Alignment boundary
A missing, duplicated, or reordered entry attaches the wrong possible points or weight to a score. Preserve section names in the source record even though the numeric input uses ordered lists.
Weight boundary
The page rejects totals outside a 0.01-point tolerance. If only part of an exam is being modeled, first rescale that subset to a documented 100% basis or wait for the complete rubric.
Rubric depth
Rubric criteria, partial credit, question removal, moderation, reliability, accessibility, regrades, penalties, scaling, and curves determine the earned points before this calculation begins.

Result interpretation
A positive effect means stronger performance occurred in sections receiving more declared weight than their raw point share. A negative effect means the weighting scheme emphasizes relatively weaker sections. Neither difference proves the policy is fair or valid.
Decision analysis
Confirm earned and possible points, section order, weights, removed questions, rubric revisions, and moderation. The largest contribution combines both performance and policy weight; it is not necessarily the section with the most raw points.
