How the calculation works

Plan dog hydration from a user-entered per-kilogram reference, explicit activity and heat adjustments, and separately estimated food and other water sources. Multiply weight by the entered baseline, apply the combined activity and heat adjustment, then subtract water supplied by food and other measured sources.

The default uses 22 kg, 55 mL/kg/day, 15% activity and 10% heat adjustments, 180 mL from food, 50 mL from other sources, 1,050 mL measured bowl intake, and a 15% range.
