A road-trip schedule must separate wheel-moving time from stops, buffer, and overnight rest. Driving days are based on the daily moving-time cap, while elapsed trip time includes every non-driving block and the day table caps each day's distance at what remains.

How the calculation works

Separate moving time, planned stops, schedule buffer, and overnight rest, then distribute route distance across explicit daily driving-cap rows. A positive route creates at least one driving day, and the final row caps distance at the route remainder. Divide route distance by moving speed, round driving days upward from the daily cap, add stop and buffer time, add overnight rest between days, and distribute distance across capped daily rows.

The default trip covers 1,680 km at 92 km/h, with 7.5 moving hours per day, three 20-minute stops per day, 11-hour overnight rests, and a 10% schedule buffer.
