How the calculation works

Separate regularly spaced studs, opening reinforcement, plates and whole-sheet sheathing so each purchase basis remains visible. Each wall run is divided by stud spacing and rounded up with an end stud; opening jamb and header members are added separately, while plates and sheathing use their own coverage bases.
