How the calculation works

Convert plan area to sloped area with the entered pitch factor, add waste, and round bundles upward. Multiply horizontal plan area by the entered pitch area factor, add the waste allowance, divide by bundle coverage, and round upward to complete bundles.

Only after accounting for eaves, overhangs, attached roofs, and every roof plane not represented by the wall footprint.

Does waste include ridge caps?

No. Ridge and hip products should be measured by length and ordered separately.

Why round bundles upward?

A partial theoretical bundle cannot complete the final courses when suppliers sell only sealed bundles.
