    Critical path

    A single permit, custom order, or venue decision may control many later tasks. Task counts cannot reveal those dependencies.

    Resource contention

    Two tasks scheduled in parallel still collide when the same partner, coordinator, vehicle, budget, or vendor must do both.

    Blocked-day placement

    Twenty scattered unavailable days differ from twenty consecutive days near a deadline. A dated calendar is required after this aggregate screen.

    What the phase model excludes

    • All tasks are counted as equal even though effort, duration, risk, and dependencies vary.
    • Blocked days reduce capacity but are not placed on exact dates.
    • Proportional deadlines are model outputs, not vendor, legal, venue, or cultural deadlines.
    • The page does not model owners, parallel work, budgets, resource contention, appointments, or critical paths.
    • Date arithmetic is local date-only Gregorian; exact clock times, zones, and daylight-saving transitions require a separate itinerary.

    Two schedule cases

    An early start and a compressed recovery plan

    Early start

    Booking tasks are few but dependency-heavy. The couple uses the proportional deadline only as a ceiling, then schedules venue and supplier decisions much earlier.

    Compressed runway

    A late date change leaves blocked travel days and a required final buffer. The task pace rises sharply, prompting scope reduction and professional coordination rather than unsafe compression.

    Real authority outranks the proportional deadline

    Government offices, venues, vendors, insurers, travel providers, officiants, and cultural or religious authorities may impose fixed requirements. Confirm them directly and place them in a critical-path schedule.

    How are phase deadlines assigned?

    Usable planning days are allocated in proportion to each phase’s share of the total task count, then cumulative deadlines are rounded to whole civil days.

    Are blocked days placed on specific dates?

    No. They reduce aggregate capacity only. A real project calendar must place holidays, travel, work peaks, and unavailable dates explicitly.

    Why protect a final buffer?

    The buffer keeps entered days free from planned task production; it does not guarantee recovery from vendor or emergency delays.

    How are date boundaries counted?

    The planning start date is excluded and the wedding civil date included on the proleptic Gregorian calendar.

    Does one task equal another?

    No. The average pace treats task counts uniformly. Split, weight, or separately schedule complex and dependent work.

    Can this replace a coordinator’s critical path?

    No. It is an aggregate phase model and cannot represent owners, durations, dependencies, resource limits, contracts, or exact appointments.
